How to write a Will

Writing your Will does not have to be a daunting or costly experience, although we would always recommend instructing a solicitor to prepare your Will on your behalf, to ensure it is a valid, legal document. A Will needs to be prepared following strict legal formalities otherwise it may not be valid.

Our Legacy Pack will assist you in making the process of writing your Will as straightforward as possible.

Our recommended wording sets out the wording that should be included in your Will when leaving a gift to Church Army.

It may be that you have already written a Will and want to make some minor amendments, or to include a charitable gift, and rather than go to the expense of having a new Will drawn up you can prepare a document called a Codicil, which will be read alongside your Will. Our recommended wording includes standard wording for a Codicil.
