pioneer evangelist For Gloucester & Forest of Dean Centre of Mission

Location    Mid-Wyedean Benefice (Diocese of Gloucester)

Details The pioneer evangelist will serve Coleford and surrounding areas in the Forest of Dean, pioneering ways of bringing the Good News to groups not reached by the church, especially youth, young adults and by extension families, and also those with low incomes/low aspirations/low self-esteem of all ages. Coleford is a small market town in beautiful countryside, but with an industrial history and many areas of deprivation.  A creative evangelist, you will seek to establish new Christian communities, through building relationships, evangelistic projects, enthusing volunteers and encouraging churches to develop their own evangelism.  This will be part of a holistic approach which expresses the gospel in word, action and lifestyle.

Gloucester & Forest Centre of Mission is an exciting new partnership between the Diocese of Gloucester and Church Army. You will work with the Lead Evangelist, who is based on the Matson estate in Gloucester.  If you’re passionate about unlocking God’s potential in people’s lives and activating change, then we’d love you to apply.
